Press Release- Martha

1870. A child. A fire. A day that changed lives forever.

Film maker, Adam J Morgan, uncovered more than he bargained for when he started researching his family tree. Buried within the forgotten inquest papers and medical records was a story of a mother's desperate and heart wrenching loss. 'Martha' tells the story of a family destroyed by a tragic accident that could have been prevented yet even today, death due to unintentional negligence still happens. Using the original inquest report as narration and shot in black and white, 'Martha' is a story that leaves its powerful mark on audiences.

At the heart of 'Martha' lies the message that every life matters and we must do everything we can to safeguard and protect those who are most vulnerable in our society. The wordless remorse that Jane feels over the loss of her daughter is something that no mother should endure. Adam J Morgan has produced a film that will resonate with every parent, young or old, and represents film making at its most beautiful and enchanting. Striking in its use of light and bold in its visuals, 'Martha' will leave you with a sense of loss and a life that was taken far too soon.

Stories have the power to thrill and challenge but can also disturb and upset us. The truth is sometimes more tragic than anything that can be dreamt of or imagined.

Press Release: Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead (#IOTNQD) Is Back In Production

IOTNQD

It's Back!!!

Indywood Studios are very pleased to announce that the Indie Horror Film, Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead (#IOTNQD) is now back in production after a short hiatus. An intense and redefining take on the zombie genre sees an infection spreading through a small village community leaving blood drenched devastation in its wake.

In 2006, independent filmmaker & entrepreneur, AD LANE, came up with a name that best described how he wanted to live his life, it was #INDYWOOD. Representing pure INDEPENDENCE... the idea was for him to make a film on his own terms and to revolutionise the way movies got funded by pushing the boundaries of what could be achieved using the social networking site Twitter.

Filming of #IOTNQD is now more than half completed with the final climatic scenes slated to begin shooting in May, in and around locations in Kent.

A new website and trailer for the film will be coming soon but, in the meantime, you can keep up to date with all the latest news at:

Press Release: Sporadic Too

Back in the annals of time, in August 2014, Kneel Downe did something very few authors do in their lifetimes - he released his notebook. His VirulentBlurb universe was already well established in the mind’s eye of his readers but so much of Kneel’s writing didn't quite fit or wasn't related to his universe. Instead there were streams of consciousness or single tweets, not necessarily the seeds from which new worlds would grow but still glorious writing, and they were collected into a book called SPORADIC and released as a bit of fun.

What Kneel wasn't expecting from this was the reaction of his fanbase, which was rabid with positivity, and the critical acclaim that this madness garnered. SPORADIC was just Kneel doing what Kneel does – sharing with the world. He never meant for it to be the work of art it became and Kneel has been humbled and honoured by how well it was received.

So here we are a year and a half later and Kneel is at it again...

This time however, it’s a little different. This time there are definite fragments of the VirulentBlurb hidden within the pages and these fragments matter. They are the spores of contagion. They fill holes and gaps whilst creating others. They speak directly to the history and the future of the VirulentBlurb and add a spark of colour that will forever change the pattern in the weave.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Blurbians all, Kneel Downe presents Sporadic Too: Infections. SPORADIC TOO: Infections will be available on 30th January 2016 in Paperback on Lulu and Kindle (and soon paperback) on Amazon.

Use this link to pre-order the Kindle from Amazon now http://amzn.to/1lHCc2x

Press Release: An Owl's Tale - FairyBlurbs

The VirulentBlurb today releases author Kneel Downe's 6th book, a book of Fairy tales, or rather, FairyBlurbs. An Owl's Tale returns the reader to a time of traveller's tales and campfire storytelling as Amelia and her companion Owl head east to begin the quest detailed in the book Amelia's Song. The tales told here stand alone and yet fit characters and stories told before and yet to come in Kneel's own unique style. They are a mix of the classical, the contemporary and the not yet invented and are as reminiscent of Carroll and Grimm as they are as new as Noon and Martin. Fairy tales and sagas that are as future proof as they are familiar.

Kneel writes like no other and constantly pushes the boundaries of what is achievable with words. With the VirulentBlurb, he has created an entire universe that ties together every project he does, no matter how unlikely the link may seem at first. As you know, "Ladybirds are full of secrets" and this collection is a Ladybird spliced with that unique Kneel Downe twist.

With a cover and illustrations by Susan Omand, An Owl's Tale, FairyBlurbs by Kneel Downe is available in paperback on Lulu now, with a Kindle version due next weekend.
